ותב יהושפט מליך שבטא דבית יהודה לביתיה בשלם לירושלם:
lyrwshlm bshlm lbythyh yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlyk yhwshpT wthb
Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.

ונפק לקדמוי יהוא בר חנני סכואה ואמר למלכא יהושפט הכשר לך דעם חיבא הליכתא לסיעא ולשנאי יי תרחם ובדא אית עלך רוגזא מן קדם יי:
yy qdm mn rwgza elk ayth wbda thrkhm yy wlshnay lsyea hlyktha khyba dem lk hkshr yhwshpT lmlka wamr skwah khnny br yhwa lqdmwy wnpq
Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate Yahweh? Because of this, wrath is on you from before Yahweh.

ברם פתגמין טבין אשתכחו עמך ארום פליתא אשירתא מן ארעא ואתקנתא לבך למתבע דחלתיה דיהוה:
dyhwh dkhlthyh lmthbe lbk wathqntha area mn ashyrtha plytha arwm emk ashthkkhw Tbyn pthgmyn brm
Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.”

ויתב יהושפט בירושלם ותב ונפק לאלפא בעמא מבארא דשבע עד טורא דבית אפרים ואתיבנון לדחלתא דיי אלהא דאבהתהון:
dabhthhwn alha dyy ldkhltha wathybnwn aprym dbyth Twra ed dshbe mbara bema lalpa wnpq wthb byrwshlm yhwshpT wythb
Jehoshaphat lived at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

ואקים דינין בארעא בכל קרוי יהודה כריכן לקרי וקרי:
wqry lqry krykn yhwdh qrwy bkl barea dynyn waqym
He set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,

ואמר לדיניא חמון מה אתון עבדין ארום לא קדם בני נשא אתון דינין ארום קדם מימרא דיי ושכנתיה שריא עמכון בעיסק דינא:
dyna beysq emkwn shrya wshknthyh dyy mymra qdm arwm dynyn athwn nsha bny qdm la arwm ebdyn athwn mh khmwn ldynya wamr
and said to the judges, “Consider what you do, for you don’t judge for man, but for Yahweh; and he is with you in the judgment.

וכדון יהי דחלתא דיי עליכון אסתמרו ועבידו ארום לית קדם יי אלהנא שקר ומסב אפין וקבלות שחדא:
shkhda wqblwth apyn wmsb shqr alhna yy qdm lyth arwm webydw asthmrw elykwn dyy dkhltha yhy wkdwn
Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.”

ואוף בירושלם אקים יהושפט בין ליואי וכהניא ומרישי אבהתא דבית ישראל לדינא קדם יי ולמלי מצותא ותבו לירושלם:
lyrwshlm wthbw mtswtha wlmly yy qdm ldyna yshral dbyth abhtha wmryshy wkhnya lyway byn yhwshpT aqym byrwshlm wawp
Moreover in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed certain Levites, priests, and heads of the fathers’ households of Israel to give judgment for Yahweh and for controversies. They returned to Jerusalem.

ופקיד עליהון למימר הכדין תעבדון בדחלתא דיי בהימנותא וקושטא ובלב שלים:
shlym wblb wqwshTa bhymnwtha dyy bdkhltha thebdwn hkdyn lmymr elyhwn wpqyd
He commanded them, saying, “You shall do this in the fear of Yahweh, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.

וכל מצי דיעול לותכון מאחוכון דיתבין בקרויהון בין גברא דחיב דין קטול לגברא דזכאי מן דין קטול ביני אוריתא לתפקדתא לקימיא ודיניא ותזהרון יתהון ולא יתחיבון קדם יי ויהי רוגזא עליכון ועל אחוכון הכדין תעבדון ולא תתחיבון:
ththkhybwn wla thebdwn hkdyn akhwkwn wel elykwn rwgza wyhy yy qdm ythkhybwn wla ythhwn wthzhrwn wdynya lqymya lthpqdtha awrytha byny qTwl dyn mn dzkay lgbra qTwl dyn dkhyb gbra byn bqrwyhwn dythbyn makhwkwn lwthkwn dyewl mtsy wkl
Whenever any controversy comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you must warn them, that they not be guilty toward Yahweh, and so wrath come on you and on your brothers. Do this, and you will not be guilty.

והא אמריהו כהנא רבא דממנא לריש עליכון ולכל פתגמא דיי וזכריהו בר ישמעאל ארכונא לבית יהודה לכל פתגמא דמלכא וסרכיא ליואי קדמיכון תקופו ועבידו ויהי מימרא דיי בסעדכון לטבא :
lTba bsedkwn dyy mymra wyhy webydw thqwpw qdmykwn lyway wsrkya dmlka pthgma lkl yhwdh lbyth arkwna yshmeal br wzkryhw dyy pthgma wlkl elykwn lrysh dmmna rba khna amryhw wha
Behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Yahweh; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king’s matters. Also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and may Yahweh be with the good.”
